YAIBA: Samurai Legend will officially continue with Cour 2 next week on June 28, announcing a new voice cast addition and theme songs. WIT Studio is handling the animation for the new adaptation of Gosho Aoyama’s manga, which began on April 5.

Voice actress Sayaka Senbongi will voice Nadeko, a woman who met the protagonist Yaiba during his childhood in the jungle. Believing in his promise “I’ll marry you once I become stronger,” she has devoted herself to training. Now, Nadeko sets out to reunite with Yaiba after learning his whereabouts. Senbongi commented on joining the anime:

I never imagined I’d be part of one of Gosho Aoyama-sensei’s works like YAIBA, so I was truly thrilled when I found out I was cast! Even though Nadeko only appears in one chapter of the original manga, I poured everything into expressing her unwavering feelings for Yaiba during the recording sessions. I hope fans will enjoy seeing her in the anime.

The opening and ending theme songs for YAIBA: Samurai Legend Cour 2 were also announced. The opening theme will continue to be “BLADE” by BLUE ENCOUNT, but the version used from this cour onward will feature the song’s second verse. It’s titled “BLADE -Kizuna ver-“.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Shunichi Tanabe commented:

The first cour of YAIBA focused on the main character’s personal growth. For the second cour, we wanted to emphasize the bonds he builds with those around him. ‘Being strong on your own is important—but with allies, you can become the strongest.’ That message reflects our journey as a band for over 20 years, and we hope our music can stand beside viewers as a companion.

The new ending theme will be “ACTION!” by Kairi Yagi⚡️Denon Yugi. Vocalist Kairi Yagi commented:

“ACTION!” was inspired by the passion and honesty of Yaiba’s adventures. We created it with the hope that it will give listeners a boost of courage to face their own futures.”
