Six years after its Japanese theatrical debut, the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai) movie is coming to Crunchyroll! Aniplex of America and Crunchyroll announced that the movie would join Crunchyroll’s roster on Thursday, June 19 (5:00 PM PT).

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl is the second installment of the Rascal Does Not Dream franchise. The theatrical movie debuted in Japan on June 15, 2019, and had a limited theatrical screening in the West in October 2019. The movie adapts the sixth and seventh volumes of the AoButa light novels. The story takes place six months after the events of Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.
Fully enjoying life with his wild bunny girl lover, Sakuta mistakenly believes that the effects of adolescence syndrome are behind them. But when an adult version of his first love, Shoko Makinohara, shows up at his door, his life takes an unexpected turn. To further complicate Sakuta’s life, two versions of Shoko now exist—the bishoujo adult Shoko and her childhood version, who suffers from a terminal illness. With his perception of life shattered, Sakuta has to confront many uncomfortable decisions … but will his actions be enough?
