The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess anime revealed a new trailer featuring the theme songs, along with an October 8 premiere date. Studio DEEN is in charge of the animation production, with Hiroaki Sakurai  as the director. The anime previously revealed a wave of new voice cast members.

The opening theme song is “Black Flame” by KID PHENOMENON from EXILE TRIBE, while the ending song is “Regen” by Zerofrom. Both are featured in the new trailer, which you can watch below.

Akiharu Toka writes and draws the The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess manga, which has been serialized in Hakusensha’s LaLa shojo magazine since August 2018. Yen Press licensed the manga in English.

The story follows Konoha Sato, a former teen author who is reborn as the villainess of her own fantasy romance. To survive, she must recall every plot point and death flag she once wrote. Her plans are shaken when Yomi, a character she does not remember creating, returns from the Lily Kingdom claiming to be an ally.
