The Beginning After the End (TBATE) anime revealed the preview for Season 1 Episode 12 (finale), which is set to premiere on June 18. Joining the voice cast are Gen Sato as Elijah Knight and Shoya Chiba as Lucas Wykes.
Crunchyroll has already confirmed Season 2 for Spring 2026, while you can watch the preview for the first season’s finale below.

The TBATE anime is directed by Keitaro Motonaga (The Kingdoms of Ruin) and produced by studio A-CAT. The main staff also features Takamitsu Kono in charge of the series composition, Masami Sueoka as the character designer, and Keiji Inai responsible for the music. The main voice cast includes Natsumi Fujiwara as Arthur Leywin, Makoto Furukawa as King Grey, Kana Ichinose as Tessia, and Chiaki Omigawa as Jasmine.
We previously had a chance to interview TurtleMe, and he told us that Crunchyroll has been “instrumental in bridging the creative vision with global reach.” The author also recently announced a Kickstarter campaign for the print edition of the first 3 volumes.
The web novel is available digitally on Tapas and features illustrations by Fuyuki23, while there is also the webtoon adaptation by the same artist (available on Tapas (digital) and Yen Press (print)).
