Takopi’s Original Sin has won the weekly Summer 2025 anime ranking for the fifth straight time in Week 5, making it a sweep for its entire run. This is the second time an anime won every weekly ranking during its run, with the first one being The Dangers in My Heart Season 2’s historic 12/12 sweep in Winter 2024.
The anime by ENISHIYA began streaming on June 28 with an emotional premiere, while it ended on August 1 with Episode 6. Its weekly ranking was as below:
- In Week 1, it took 8.10% of the votes from a total of 9,482 people, with DAN DA DAN Season 2 and Grand Blue Dreaming Season 2 behind it.
- In Week 2, it took 8.72% from a total of 10,292 people, with DAN DA DAN Season 2 and TO BE HERO X being the first followers.
- In Week 3, Takopi’s Original Sin took 5.97% of votes from a total 9,378 people, ranking over The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity and DAN DA DAN Season 2.
- In Week 4, it took 6.30% votes from a total of 10,272 people, ranking over DAN DA DAN Season 2 and Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze.
- In Week 5, the anime took 8.51%, with DAN DA DAN Season 2 again behind it, but with The Summer Hikaru Died jumping to third.

Taizan 5 wrote and illustrated the Takopi’s Original Sin (Takopi no Genzai) manga. It was published on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform from December 2021 to March 2022, getting a total of 2 compiled volumes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, describing the story:
