With one week remaining before its global release, the upcoming original anime Shinsei Galverse has revealed a new key visual illustrated by its director, Ayaka Ohira. The hand-drawn artwork aims to reflect the 90s anime and gyaru-inspired aesthetic of the series, set within a sci-fi universe.
The anime is scheduled to premiere worldwide on June 25, 2025, via YouTube and major Japanese streaming platforms. Speaking about the key visual, Director Ohira said: “I created this key visual while recalling the excitement I felt as a child, gazing at rows of anime VHS covers at the video rental store. I’ve packed that same sense of wonder into the anime itself, so I truly hope everyone enjoys it.”
A trailer was released earlier this month, showing what the anime will look like. Directed by Ohira, Shinsei Galverse features art direction from Ryu You of Ogura Atelier (Ghost in the Shell).
The animation is handled by studio SoK, with a soundtrack by ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo, Panty & Stocking) and KAMIYA, who perform the opening theme.

Shinsei Galverse is an original sci-fi OVA directed by Ayaka Ohira. The story centers on Zero, a cosmic entity entangled in an interstellar conflict across time and space. The project originated as a fan-funded initiative.
