Bandai Namco has announced that Shallot, the original protagonist of the DRAGON BALL LEGENDS mobile game, will be joining the playable roster of DRAGON BALL: Sparking ZERO through the latest DLC. His release is scheduled for June 26, with Early Access available starting June 23. Previously, Beast Gohan joined the game through a DLC in January.
Originally introduced in 2018, Shallot is an Ancient Saiyan character created exclusively for DRAGON BALL LEGENDS. Unlike most characters in the franchise, he was not part of the original manga or anime, but was designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama for the mobile game.

The game previously topped the pre-order charts for both Playstation and Steam ahead of its October 11, 2024 launch, hitting 3 million copies within the first 24 hours. The game is developed by Spike Chunsoft, who previously also worked on DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI. It is the first entry in the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series in 15 years, and released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It featured 182 playable characters at launch.
