SAKAMOTO DAYS revealed the second main trailer for Cour 2 (Part 2), which is set to premiere on July 14, 2025. Previously, Koki Uchiyama joined the voice cast as Gaku alongside a new teaser visual. The first part of the anime had 11 episodes, while Netflix is streaming it worldwide. Japan will have a 2-episode premiere, continuing to be a week ahead than international release.
The opening theme song “Method” by Kroi was previewed in the first trailer. “Dandelion” by go!go!vanillas is the ending theme song for Part 2, and it’s featured in the new trailer.
Studio TMS Entertainment is back to handle the animation, with the main staff of Masaki Watanabe as the director, Yo Moriyama as the character designer, Yuto Suzuki in charge of the screenplay and Taku Kishimoto in charge of the series composition.
Yuto Suzuki writes and draws the SAKAMOTO DAYS manga series. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 2020, with a total of twenty-two volumes released as of June 4, 2024. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English. SAKAMOTO DAYS: Dangerous Puzzle, the franchise’s first game, also has a Spring 2025 release date.
The story follows Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who retired in order to marry and have a child. He now runs a store, but his past life is not that easy to get rid off. Despite looking very different as a retiree, Sakamoto will not hesitate to protect his family and take down anyone who tries to put them in danger.
