Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus anime revealed a new visual for the Lost Singer Arc, along with a part of Episode 1 and recaps of the Sister Venturing Out and Knapsack Kid movies. Studio CloverWorks is handling the animation for the TV anime, which is set to premiere on July 5. Crunchyroll will be streaming it as part of its Summer 2025 lineup.
The visual features Uzuki Hirokawa, leader of the idol group Sweet Bullet, holding a microphone with the tagline: “Was this really the place I wanted to come to?”

Adapting Volume 14 of the light novel series, the story will introduce the mini-skirt Santa. We will also get to see slightly older versions of the characters. You can watch a part of Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus Episode 1 below.

The Rascal Does Not Dream light novel series was written by Hajime Kamoshida, while Keji Mizoguchi drew the illustrations for it. ASCII Media Works began publishing it under their Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2014, releasing a total of 15 volumes. The final volume was released on October 10, 2024, marking the end of the novel after 10 years of serialization.
The entire anime adaptation so far has been animated by CloverWorks. It includes the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai TV anime (covering volumes 1-5), as well as three sequel movies. They are Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (volumes 6-7), Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out (Volume 8), and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid (Volume 9).
