The latest promotional video for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle anime movie has already surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. Posted at 2 AM (UTC) on August 9, the high-octane teaser featuring Tanjiro and Giyu taking on the film’s primary antagonist, Akaza, passed 1 million views at around 6 PM on the same day, 16 hours later. The record-breaking new Demon Slayer film has already grossed over 17.6 billion yen (as of August 4), with strong expectations that it’ll break its total box office record once its global rollout begins next week. Infinity Castle‘s strong social media performance follows the massive virality of the official trailer in June, which passed 40 million views across 10 social media accounts in under 24 hours. The highly anticipated title is the first of a trilogy, marking the culmination of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original Demon Slayer manga.

As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle.
And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the Demons ignites.
