The first trailer and main visual have been released for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt – Path of the Little Challenger, ahead of its previously announced theatrical premiere on October 31, 2025 in Japan. The special compilation film is adapting the mobile game Urdr-Hunt into anime format for the first time, and it will be paired with an all-new short anime titled “Makuai no Kusabi” (Kusabi of the Interlude).
The new short will feature returning characters Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka and is set between Seasons 1 and 2 of the original television series. The story follows Tekkadan’s rising reputation in the Outer Sphere after completing their mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein. As the organization expands, Orga struggles with his new responsibilities as leader, forcing the group to act on a plan of their own.

“Makuai no Kusabi” will feature the original main staff, including director Tatsuyuki Nagai, screenwriter Mari Okada, and character designer Michinori Chiba, based on original designs by Yu Ito. Mechanical design is credited to Naohiro Washio and Kanetake Ebikawa, with music by Masaru Yokoyama. Animation is produced by Sunrise. The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Kengo Kawanishi as Mikazuki Augus
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Orga Itsuka
Advance tickets (MoviTicke) for the double feature will go on sale in Japan beginning August 8, 2025. A North American release is also planned, with details to be announced at a later date.
