MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA has announced the expansion of its First Read Free campaign to Indonesian beginning today, August 4. The initiative will allow users of the MANGA Plus app to read over 2,000 chapters from ten currently serialized titles in Indonesian for free.
The campaign applies to major series such as ONE PIECE, Dandadan, Spy x Family, and others, with every available chapter accessible under the “first read” model. Each chapter can be read once at no cost through the app for iOS and Android. Free access ends when the viewer is closed, encouraging readers to read the entire chapter before closing it.

Originally launched in English in 2023, the First Read Free initiative is meant to give an easy ways for new readers to get into reading manga. Editor-in-Chief Shuhei Hosono further commented:
