Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter anime put the spotlight on Lydia and Lynne Leinster this weekend, with each getting a character trailer. Studio Blanc is in charge of the animation, and the series is scheduled to premiere on July 5. Prior to these trailers, the main trio, Allen, Tina Howard and Ellie Walker, had their own character spotlights.

The Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter anime main voice cast will feature Yuto Uemura as Allen, Hime Sawada as Tina Howard, Kyoka Moriya as Ellie Walker, Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Leinster, Miho Okasaki as Lynne Leinster, Inori Minase as Stella Howard, Ami Maeshima as Caren, and Kana Hanazawa as Felicia Fosse.
The anime is directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama, with Megumi Shimizu handling the script and series composition. The character designs are handled by Akiko Toyota, with music composed by Kei Haneoka.
The light novel series Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter is written by Riku Nanano. Initially published on the Kakuyomu website in October 2017, it was later picked up by Kadokawa and released under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint in December 2018, with illustrations by Cura. The story has also been adapted into a manga by Tamura Muto, which has been serialized in Shonen Ace Plus since September 2019. Both the light novel and manga have been licensed in English by J-Novel Club.
The story follows Allen, a young man who, after failing the court sorcerer exam, struggles to make ends meet. He accepts a shady job as a private tutor for a duke’s daughter, expecting a difficult student. However, he is surprised to find an adorable girl who struggles with even the most basic magic. Determined to help, Allen uses his unique methods to learn why she’s struggling. As their lessons progress, a bond forms that may change both of their futures.
