The Chinese animated series (donghua) of the hit web novel Lord of Mysteries is coming to Crunchyroll on June 28. Animated by B.CMay PICTURES, the series has been confirmed for international release on Crunchyroll starting with a double-episode premiere. It will include dubs in English, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
The official synopsis is described:
In a Victorian world of steam, dreadnoughts, and occult horrors, Zhou Mingrui awakens as Klein Moretti. He walks a razor’s edge between light and darkness, entangled with warring Churches. This is the legend of unlimited potential…and unspeakable danger.

The original novel was serialized on Qidian from 2018 to 2020 and has since become a fan-favorite, with many praising it for its world-building and philosophy. Following the success of the first book, a sequel series, Lord of Mysteries 2: Circle of Inevitability, began with a focus on a new protagonist, Lumian Lee.
In addition to the upcoming Chinese anime, a mobile RPG developed with Unreal Engine 5 is also in production.
