Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 announced that the main trailer will be revealed tomorrow, June 19 (JST). The anime is set to return on July 19, with the main key visual revealed earlier this month. The announcement was made with a screenshot of Gen Narumi, “Japan’s Strongest Anti-Kaiju Combatant,” who is set to have a big role in the show going forward.
The first teaser trailer for the anime was released in March, and it also teased Gen. You can watch that below as we wait for the release of the main PV.
The main voice cast for the Kaiju No. 8 anime includes Masaya Fukunishi as Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No. 8, Wataru Kato as Reno Ichikawa, Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro, and Kengo Kawanishi as Soshiro Hoshina. We had the opportunity to talk with Masaya Fukunishi at last year’s Anime Expo, where he shared his experience voicing Kafka.
Kaiju No. 8 manga by Naoya Matsumoto began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform, and a total of 15 volumes has been published as of March. The manga series will officially end in two more chapters. Viz Media licensed it in English.
In related news, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME is set to show its first demo next month at Anime Expo 2025. The game has over 300,000 pre-registrations globally, and is set to launch later this year.
