The official Shonen Jump YouTube channel has released a new JUMP MV music video, bringing together Haruichi Furudate’s volleyball manga Haikyu and the song “Hikariare” by the rock band BURNOUT SYNDROMES. The song was previously used as the opening theme for the anime’s Season 3 in 2016.

The video was filmed at Sendai City Gymnasium (Kamei Arena Sendai), which entered renovation in May 2025 after more than forty years of use. The venue has significance both as a regional sports hub and as part of the setting for Haikyu. The project was produced in cooperation with local organizations including the Sendai City Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Miyagi Volleyball Association.

Haikyu x “Hikariare” by BURNOUT SYNDROMES New JUMP MV Music Video

Haruichi Furudate is the creator of the Haikyu manga (stylized as Haikyu!!), which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. HAIKYU: Final 2-part movie revealed the first teaser visual and trailer for its second part titled Haikyu the Movie: VS The Little Giant earlier this year, along with a special anime focused on the match between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High.
