An all-new Girls Band Cry movie is currently in production. An announcement visual was shown featuring the main character, Nina Iseri, but the release date is yet to be revealed.

Studio Toei Animation animated the 13-episode series, which aired from April to June 2024 in Japan. Kazuo Sakai directed the anime with Jukki Hanada writing the series composition, Nari Teshima designing the characters, and Kenji Tamai composing the music.
The series then received a two-part compilation film with the first part, Seishun Kyoso Kyoko, debuting on October 3, 2025, while the second film, Naa, Mirai, will premiere on November 14, 2025.
The main voice cast includes:
- Rina as Nina Iseri
- Yuuri as Momoka Kawaragi
- Mirei as Subaru Awa
- Natsu as Tomo Ebizuka
- Shuri as Rupa
Girls Band Cry was also voted as the best original show of the year in our 2024 awards, following its previous win in Spring 2024. The anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll and they describe the plot as follows:
Feeling out of place in the countryside, high school dropout Nina Iseri moves to Tokyo. After a rough first day and getting locked out of her apartment, she meets her favorite guitarist, Momoka Kawaragi. The two put on a street performance together and decide to start a band with three other girls. While each girl faces her own struggles, their passion for music keeps their dreams alive.
