Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza’s Return has reached a new milestone at the Japanese box office, grossing 22.07 billion yen (approximately ~149 million USD) in its first 25 days in theaters. The film has sold a total of 15,698,202 tickets during that period. It has also surpassed ONE PIECE FILM RED’s total revenue (~20.33 billion yen), and is now the 6th highest grossing anime film of all time in Japan.
The new figure follows the movie’s previous record of 17.63 billion yen and 12.55 million tickets sold in 17 days. The film premiered on July 18 in Japan, opening in the largest number of theaters in the franchise’s history, with a confirmed 155-minute runtime.
A new trailer recently gave a new look at the Tanjiro & Giyu vs Akaza fight, and the hype for the movie was further proven as it got over a million views in less than 16 hours.
Following its domestic debut, it is scheduled to launch internationally between August 14 and September 25, 2025. You can see the full schedule below.

In related news, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 launched in Japan on August 1, with the global release launching on August 5, 2025. The game is available for PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
