Crunchyroll has announced that Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 1 Part 2 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in North America in two editions: a Standard Edition on September 23, 2025, and a Limited Edition on October 21, 2025. It’s part of its Fall 2025 home media release, with the full details below.
The Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD combo set is designed to replicate the suitcase used by the main character, Frieren, and includes the following contents:
- Suitcase-style outer box with space for Part 1 (sold separately)
- 200-page art book
- Three art cards
- Acrylic standee of Frieren with a mimic
- “Blue moon weed flower” luggage tag
- Seven kiss-cut character sticker sheets
- Seven character shikishi art boards featuring Frieren, Himmel, Eisen, Heiter, Fern, Stark, and Sein
Purchases of the Limited Edition through the Crunchyroll Store will include an exclusive Frieren-themed keychain while supplies last.
The Standard Edition Blu-ray/DVD combo set includes the full season and three character art cards. Both editions include the following special features:
- Officially subtitled mini-anime Magic of ?? (first time it’s officially subtitled)
- Special video Frieren: Journey’s Memory
- Textless opening and ending sequences
- Web previews
- Promotional videos
The anime has been critically acclaimed and won multiple categories at the 9th Annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Best Drama, Best Director (Keiichiro Saito), Best Background Art, and Best Supporting Character.
