A new trailer for My Hero Academia: FINAL SEASON briefly appeared on Crunchyroll’s YouTube channel and its My Hero Academia English X (formerly Twitter) account before being deleted. The video was deleted from X (formerly Twitter) within a few hours, and the YouTube upload was switched to private.

Crunchyroll has not released a statement explaining the removal. However, the circumstances suggest that the trailer was uploaded earlier than intended as it featured new footage that was not preceded or followed by any official Japanese source. It’s likely to be made public again in tune with the official My Hero Academia channels. Previously, the company accidentally included a 2026 release date for Black Clover Season 2, which was also promptly removed.

The new trailer shared a new look at the fight between Deku and Shigaraki, with this season set to be the final one for the My Hero Academia anime. As previously confirmed, the anime will premiere on October 4, 2025 and stream on Crunchyroll. You can watch the previously revealed teaser trailer below.

At this time it is not clear whether the removal was the result of human error, a scheduling issue, or a deliberate change in marketing plans. There is a special event “Hero Villain Fest,” being held in Japan tomorrow (August 17), which is when we may expect a new update.
