With You and the Rain anime revealed a new trailer, featuring both the opening and ending theme songs. Studio Lesprit is handling the animation, with Tomohiro Tsukimisato serving as director, Ayano Owada as the character designer, and Toko Machida in charge of the series composition.
The new trailer features the opening song “Ame to” by Mamiko Suzuki, as well as the ending song “filled” by Kei Sugawara. You can watch the new trailer below.
The anime recently revealed a key visual and additional voice cast. We’ll be hearing Saori Hayami as Fuji and Anna Mugiho as Yo (the tanuki/dog), with others members including Yoji Ueda, Mie Sonozaki, Kikunosuke Toya, Yumiri Hanamori, and others.
The With You and the Rain anime was announced in August 2024 and is adapting the manga by Ko Nikaido. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine seinen magazine since August 2020, with 7 volumes published as of September 5, 2024. Kodansha licensed the series in English, describing the story of the first volume:
If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it’s a dog, it’s…a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this “dog” will never be boring!
