Saka Mikami’s hit romance manga, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, has exceeded 10 million copies in circulation. If that isn’t enough to impress you, around half of those sales have occurred over the past six months. Back in July, Kodansha released the manga’s circulation numbers, which exceeded 5.6 million. The last time Japan dealt with growth that exponential, Shin Godzilla was rampaging through Tokyo.
When the manga exceeded the 8 million copies threshold (BACK IN OCTOBER!!), Kodansha marked the occasion by running 47 newspaper ads. Each of these ads featured a scene from the manga alongside the prefecture’s most iconic flower. A special commemorative video was also released.

This time around, Kodansha and Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku invited fans to share appreciation messages via social media. Some of these messages will be displayed on the Shinjuku Unica Vision. An additional promotional video will be aired on the Umeda HEP Front Vision all week.
