Earlier in March, MyAnimeList was acquired by the web3 startup Gaudiy, resulting in a one-time gain of around 531 million yen (around $3.5 million at the time). Manga Mirai debuted in the same month, developed by NTT DOCOMO. in partnership with MyAnimeList, Akatsuki Group, and former parent company MEDIA DO. In May, Gaudiy announced a strategic capital and business partnership with Sony Group and Bandai Namco Holdings, which underwrote 10 billion yen in funding with plans to leverage MyAnimeList data for global expansion.
On the topic of plans to watch, Anime Corner’s Fall 2025 most anticipated shows poll is currently open. I’ll probably go with My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!. You can check out our Spring 2025 most anticipated anime ranking here to see how well it lines up with the above data. Fire Force Season 3 and WIND BREAKER Season 2 similarly took the top spots.
