The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure X (formerly Twitter) confirmed that Netflix will stream the upcoming Steel Ball Run anime worldwide. New information on the anime is scheduled to be announced on September 23 in a global live stream event.

A landing page for the anime, licensed by Netflix as STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, has been created. Steel Ball Run‘s announcement earlier in April came over three years after the 38-episode Stone Ocean first premiered on Netflix. Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi are credited as co-directors of STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, while mainstay staff member Toshiyuki Kato is credited as series director. David Production returns for animation production. The full main staff list was confirmed in July.

VIZ licensed Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga, describing the first volume of Steel Ball Run:

Riders from around the world gather in the Wild West for the race of the century! Johnny Joestar, a former jockey paralyzed from the waist down, comes to spectate, and momentarily regains the ability to walk while watching a duel fought by Gyro Zeppeli. Desperate to learn more about this power, Johnny joins the race alongside Gyro and embarks on the most epic and bizarre race to ever cross the American frontier!
