The upcoming Mechanical Marie anime has unveiled the opening and ending theme songs on Thursday. The opening theme song titled “Honto to Uso” is performed by harutya, while the ending theme song, titled “Cross heart ~ Itsuwari no Nai Kimochi” is sung by the main heroine Marie (voiced by Nao Toyama). Zero-G × Lieber are animating the series, set to premiere in October.
Director: Junji Nishimura is directing the anime with Mariko Kunisawa writing the series composition. Yoko Kikuchi is the character designer, and Yasuharu Takanashi and Johannes Nilsson are the music composers. The voice consists of the following:
- Nao Toyama as Marie
- Haruki Ishiya as Arthur
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Noah
- Ami Koshimizu as Marie-2
- Yuichiro Umehara as Roy
- Daishi Kajita as Maynard
Synopsis:
“Finally complete. Meet Marie, the mechanical maid.”
Once a genius martial artist, Marie is a human girl who now hides her identity and works undercover as a “mechanical maid” in the mansion of Arthur, the heir to a powerful conglomerate who despises humans. If her true identity is discovered, it’s instant execution!? Taking advantage of her naturally expressionless face, Marie flawlessly fulfills her duties as a “mechanical maid” while secretly protecting Arthur from the assassins constantly targeting his life.
But things get complicated when the smitten Arthur, who dotes on Marie, comes dangerously close to discovering her secret! Every day is a nerve-wracking mix of thrills and close calls!
