The story of Touring After the Apocalypse (Shumatsu Touring) follows two girls who travel throughout Japan following an unspecified apocalyptic event. Despite the desolation, Yoko and Airi take the opportunity and time they have to visit iconic landmarks, from Hakone’s hot springs to Tokyo Big Sight, turning the desperate situation into a sightseeing adventure.
Touring After the Apocalypse is being produced with the involvement of Aniplex. The anime is based on Sakae Saito’s manga, which has been serialized in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Maoh magazine since 2020. Seven volumes have been released as of March 27, 2025. Yen Press licensed the manga in English.
