A full-color manga adaptation of My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: You’re Next film was released in Japan on August 4, under the title My Hero Academia THE MOVIE YOU’RE NEXT Anime Comics. The adaptation is based on the original story by Kohei Horikoshi and screenplay by Yosuke Kuroda.

The movie premiered in Japan on August 2, and it had the biggest opening for the franchise. It premiered in North America and worldwide in October of the same year. Both Netflix and Crunchyroll began streaming it in April 2025.

Kohei Horikoshi drew the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August 2024. The series ended after a 10-year run, getting numerous illustrations and messages for the conclusion.

The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with Season 7 concluding on October 12, 2024. You can read our review of the finale, as well as one of the entire season.

My Hero Academia Season 8 was officially announced immediately after the last episode, and it was confirmed to be the final one. The story left off right as the fights between All For One/One For All and Deku/Shigaraki got to their climaxes. Crunchyroll will also stream the last season, which recently confirmed an October 4 premiere date.
The Anime Comics edition is available now in Japan. No official announcement has been made yet regarding an English release.
