The Evangelion franchise is marking its 30th anniversary with a special exhibition titled ALL OF EVANGELION, set to take place at Tokyo City View from November 14, 2025, to January 12, 2026. The Neon Genesis Evangelion anime was first broadcast on October 4, 1995.
The exhibit will showcase a wide range of production materials, including rare animation cels, original drawings, and design documents from the original TV anime series. It will also feature digital assets from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series for the first time, aiming to show how the franchise evolved over time. The event is being organized by Tokyo City View with support from Khara, the Anime Tokusatsu Archive Organization (ATAC), and other partners.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (Shinseiki Evangelion) is a popular anime series directed by Hideaki Anno and produced by Gainax. It originally aired from October 1995 to March 1996. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, it follows the story of Shinji Ikari, a 14-year-old boy recruited by the mysterious organization NERV to pilot a giant mecha called “Evangelion” to fight against monsters known as “Angels.”
The franchise includes multiple films, reboots, and spin-offs, including the newer Rebuild of Evangelion series, which reimagined the original story while adding new elements. It ended with the Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time movie, which was released in 2021 as the final installment. The franchise is still active and has collaborations with different franchises and brands, such as GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE and McDonald’s.
An XR game based on the franchise is also currently in development and set to release in 2026.
