To celebrate the upcoming release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc Movie 1, a large rice field art project featuring Tanjiro Kamado has been unveiled in Gyoda, Japan. The rice field artwork spans 2.8 hectares (28,000 square meters), roughly the size of four soccer fields.
The official X (formerly Twitter) accounts for both the Demon Slayer anime and the Gyoda Omotenashi Tourism Bureau shared updates on the project. According to the Gyoda Omotenashi Tourism Bureau, Tanjiro’s image has already become clear, and the artwork is expected to become even more impressive as the rice plants continue to grow over the summer. The rice field art project was announced as part of the promotional countdown towards the upcoming movie. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc Movie 1 is scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 18, 2025. The first full trailer is scheduled for June 28.
Following its premiere in Japan, the movie is scheduled for international release between August 14 and September 25, 2025. A total of three movies was announced. As part of the countdown, special visuals featuring numerous characters were previously revealed:

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga by Koyoharu Gotoge originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, with the manga selling over 150 million copies. The anime adaptation began in 2019 with Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc, followed by multiple seasons and the record-breaking Mugen Train Arc film, which released in October 2020.
Hinokami Chronicles 2, the video game sequel, recently revealed new features in the third main trailer. The game launches August 1, 2025. Sabito and Makomo also got a special trailer for the game, showing off their Dual Ultimate.
