Me and the Alien MuMu anime will continue into Summer 2025 with Cour 2, revealing a new visual, trailer, and theme song. Studio OLM in charge of the animation for the ongoing anime, with Cour 2 set to start on July 2.
The new theme song is “MOVE MOVE” by ako, and you can hear it in the new trailer.
Me and the Alien MuMu main voice cast includes Etsuko Kozakura as MuMu, Momo Harumi as Sakurako Umeyashiki, Yasuyuki Kase as Decimaru, and Gakuto Kajiwara as Akihiro Tsurumi, among others. The anime is directed by Tomoya Takahashi, with series composition by Keiichiro Ohchi, character designs by Kenji Oota, and music by Kuricorder Quartet.

Hiroki Miyashita writes and draws the Me and the Alien MuMu (Uchujin Mumu) manga, which is serialized in Shonen Gahosha’s Young King OURs magazine. It was first published as a one-shot in the magazine in April 2019, while it began regular serialization in the same magazine in June of the same year.
The story follows MuMu, a cat-like alien from a faraway galaxy which comes to Earth on a mission to study home appliances and restore his species’ lost technology. Sakurako, a regular university student, then finds her ordinary life completely changed as she ends up living with MuMu.
