LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE: Immortal Kin has revealed a new character introduction trailer ahead of its Japanese premiere on June 27, 2025. Prior to the premiere, the LUPIN THE IIIRD: Zenigata and the Two Lupins prequel anime will stream from June 20.
The new trailer features Lupin the Third, Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa XIII, and Fujiko Mine. Inspector Zenigata also appears, chasing after Lupin. The trailer opens with Lupin’s self-introduction, and you can watch it below.
LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE: Immortal Kin will mark the franchise’s first 2D anime movie in nearly 30 years. The film is directed by Takeshi Koike at Telecom Animation Film, with screenplay by Yuya Takahashi. James Shimoji composed the music, and Katsuhito Ishii serves as creative advisor.
The theme song, “The IIIRD Eye,” is performed by B’z and is featured in the main trailer:
The story follows Lupin and his team as they enter an island contaminated with a deadly poison that kills within 24 hours. While navigating the island, they face attacks from assassins sent by a mysterious mastermind while searching for hidden treasure.
The main voice cast includes Kanichi Kurita (Lupin the Third), Akio Otsuka (Daisuke Jigen), Daisuke Namikawa (Goemon Ishikawa XIII), Miyuki Sawashiro (Fujiko Mine), and Koichi Yamadera (Inspector Zenigata). Guest voice actors include Ainosuke Kataoka, Aoi Morikawa, and the comedy duo Kukki Kaidan.
